Recruiter
The role of Recruiter at Metafora is to help attract, source, interview, onboard and retain new team members. This role reports directly to the Director of People and plays an important role in the growth of the company.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the full lifecycle recruiting process for both internal and external candidates
  • Create job postings, review resumes, schedule and conduct candidate interviews, formulate offers and plan top-notch onboarding experiences for new hires
  • Work with hiring managers and internal teams to develop job requirements and build interview practices that are targeted, intentional and engaging
  • Support hiring managers by providing direction, feedback and strategy to help them make informed hiring decisions
  • Provide input into employment branding and targeted recruitment marketing efforts
  • Develop and utilize a variety of sourcing techniques including pipelining, university partnerships, and referral generation
  • Maintain an understanding of target labor markets and Metafora's competition; uncover opportunities to network and locate new passive or active candidates
  • Target passive candidates through the use of multiple recruiting platforms including Builtin, Linkedin, social media and other channels
  • Participate in recruitment networking activities including job fairs, meetups, seminars and conferences to increase Metafora's visibility and extend reach
  • Determine valuable metrics by which to measure progress, recruiting effectiveness, and ROI to help drive strategic decision making
  • Aid in the development of general human resources policies, processes, and best practices
  • Perform other duties in support of the People team as required

How you'll do it:
  • Talent Assessment: A great assessor of talent, understands the skills needed to do the role and what the market has to offer. Ability to quickly analyze social profiles, traditional resumes and applications. Proficient in interviewing and screening.
  • Communication: Effectively and efficiently communicate both offline and online using social media, email and in person communication. Ability to articulate value and thoughts to both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Consultative: Advise hiring managers on the win-win course of action. Ability to influence hiring decisions that benefit the organization's needs.
  • Resilience: Easily overcome obstacles and setbacks, push forward in the face of adversity. Maintain patience with the organization, hiring managers and candidates.
  • Connectivity/Networking: Connects and builds relationships easily with others. Well-versed and comfortable with both in person and phone networking as well as digital and virtual networking.

  • Proven track record of successful sourcing, recruiting and onboarding of new hires in various functional roles
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously towards solutions that drive the business forward
  • Capability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities
  • Attention to detail to ensure best possible candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment lifecycle
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience recruiting and hiring talent in the following areas is preferred - IT, Engineering, Leadership
  • Desire to gain exposure and contribute to other areas of HR
