About the job:
Our Talent Acquisition team is rapidly growing and adding two experienced Recruiting Managers to the team this fall - one to manage the Technical Recruiting pod and one to manage the Non-Technical Recruiting pod. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-funded and rapidly-scaling company as we poise ourselves to 10x over the next few years, which includes international expansion. As a data-driven player/coach, you'll oversee all recruitment processes and practices for your recruiting pod, from sourcing to hiring, identifying high-potential candidates, and driving effectiveness and accountability. Most importantly, you'll mentor and grow a team of high-performing recruiters and strengthen our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion into our talent management.
What you'll do:
- Lead a team of recruiting professionals to develop, mentor, drive, and execute on the recruiting strategies that support Upside. You'll set clear expectations, deliver open and honest feedback, provide skill and career development, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Champion our diversity & inclusion initiatives throughout the hiring process -- including the content of job descriptions, sourcing strategies, and the creation of inclusive interview processes -- that lead to measurable improvement in the availability and selection of underrepresented candidates for our roles.
- Demonstrate a results-oriented and a bias towards action. You'll collaborate closely with our People leadership team to ensure that together we identify, engage, and hire within time, scope, and budget, while always aligning to our core values.â
- Have a data driven attitude. Youâll have a data-driven mentality to generate metrics to evaluate effectiveness, return on investment and inclusivity of programs, and identify insights that will drive continuous improvement. Youâll perform data analysis using advanced excel skills and other applications to see our impact on the organization.
- Develop and grow positive relationships.Youâll collaborate with People Business Partners and business leaders to measure impact and start to assess and predict future hiring needs.
- Use your industry knowledge. You'll develop global brand and attraction strategies that can be deployed across hundreds of universities, conferences, networks, and programs worldwide.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for your own req load (as needed). You'll own requisitions of your own to work on to help your recruiting pod meet their business critical hiring goals each quarter.
What you need:
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on, full-cycle recruiting experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. Previous tech company experience is a plus.
- Experience managing a team of Recruiters, where seniority ranged from entry-level to Senior. You've conducted annual performance reviews, weekly 1:1s, and created growth plans for their development.
- Experience using an ATS with sophisticated reporting capabilities (we use Greenhouse) and LinkedIn Recruiter, as well as a proficiency working in a Mac environment, using GSuite products and Slack.
- Strong analytical skills. Aptitude for and interest in managing/evaluating large sets of data and using data to generate insights.
- An excitement about using innovative recruiting trends and practices to continually refine and improve the recruiting process and candidate experience.
- An ability to communicate, interact, influence, and negotiate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including C-Suite.
- Ability to lead in a complex, fast-paced organization with resiliency for ambiguity and change to deliver the highest quality outcomes.
