Job description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. This is a full-time position that requires expertise in high voltage, low voltage, residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, new installations, remodeling, service calls and repairs
- Installation and replacement of electrical services ranging from 100amp to 800amps
- Read, interpret, and execute electrical schematics, blueprints, specification sheets, and operations/product manuals
- Excellent communication skills and ability to speak with clients about electrical issues
- Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, life safety measures and regulations at all times
- Keep accurate and detailed records of work performed on projects and service calls
- Willing to travel to downtown Chicago and approximately 20 mile radius around Skokie, IL
- Willing to maintain and learn new technology related to electric, i.e. car charging stations, wireless systems, LED lighting, Solar Panels, and Generators
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- 7-10+ years of experience
- Residential and Commercial experience
- Troubleshoot , new installation and repair electrical issues
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for electrical work
- Ability to lift and maintain 65lb or more. Ability to crouch, kneel and climb
- Ability to use a ladder between 14FT-16Ft, Scaffolding and Aerial Lift
- Must have knowledge of Nation Electric Codes and City of Chicago Electrical Codes
- Ability to read, interpret, execute electrical schematics, blueprints, specification sheets, operations/product manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with a team or individually
- Keep accurate and detailed records of work performed on projects and service calls
- Job site management, i.e. safe, clean, and maintained work space
-Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, life safety measures and regulations at all times
Preferred Skills:
- Experience or basic understanding of construction work
- Some leadership skills or job site management experience
