Resource Deployment Specialist (Remote) Eastern US
Job Description
Introduction:
Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions (TGCS) is seeking a Resource Deployment Specialist (RDS) who will be part of the Professional Services (PS) Resource Management Office (RMO). This individual will support the tactical functions associated with the collection of and maintenance of both resource and project data used to support the resource management function. This individual will be part of a team who regularly collaborates with PS Leadership, Sales Partners, Project Managers, Solutions Group, Operations, Human Resources and other cross-functional support staff.
The candidate will satisfy resource requests for both internal and external clients. Our organization provides software solutions for some of the world's largest retailers, partnering with brands like Walmart, Kroger, Wayfair, and Costco to deliver innovative consumer experiences leveraging a wide range of technologies.
The candidate will be part of the collective success of the Project Management Office (PMO) and Resource Management Office (RMO) maximizing resource allocation to achieve business goals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare the resource worksheets/data for weekly update distribution
- Distribute worksheet/data to project managers for updates
- Communicate with project managers regarding updates to information if not received by published deadlines
- Combine data from weekly update process for recirculation before publishing
- Update data in supporting applications with requests and resource data changes
- Facilitate the fulfillment of resource requests and prioritize them while working with PS leadership and other team members to ensure the right staff assignments are made in the right timeframes
- Flag resource allocation conflicts to PS team members to allow for resolution
- Attend Interlock status meetings. Prepare and distribute materials, and capture all follow up actions and notes
- Assist in the creation of regular and ad hoc reports
- Analyze data from standard reporting process to develop specialized reports on resource needs, conflicts and over allocations
- Review and recommend modifications to internal processes as needed for project control, operations review and PS support
- Facilitate communications with supporting organizations such as Solutions Group, Operations, and HR
- Conduct research to identify alternate staffing solutions and/or alternate processes for improvement
Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of work experience in resource management or related field: staffing/recruiting, operations, human resources
- Problem solver
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, active listening, and collaboration skills
- A strong drive to succeed and bring open items to resolution
- A willingness to learn new technology and resource skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Anticipates issues and develop solutions in advance of their occurrence
- Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Microsoft Office 365 (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Skilled in use of spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a Professional Services or IT Consulting organization
- Project management skills and ability to meet deadlines and deliverables
- Knowledge of Professional Service Automation (PSA) software
- Resource Management Certified Professional (RMCP®) certification
