Zayo is seeking a Response Specialist to play a key role in supporting the organization’s global resilience and incident response efforts. The Response Specialist focuses on evaluating, implementing, and optimizing resilience measures, ensuring the organization can effectively respond to and recover from global incidents. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Resiliency Analyst to enhance resilience strategies, integrate security systems, and strengthen response capabilities. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential for success in this role.

***This is a remote position, and the ideal candidate will be a Canadian citizen, residing in Eastern Canada or able to work during EDT hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize response strategies to enhance the organization's capability to manage global incidents and recover quickly.

  • Collaborate with the Resiliency Analyst to assess and improve existing resilience measures, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Utilize ServiceNow to integrate incident response data and processes into the broader Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework.

  • Analyze resilience and incident response data, extracting actionable insights to drive improvements.

  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to visualize key incident response metrics, providing clear insights to leadership.

  • Work closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to ensure response strategies align with ongoing security monitoring and threat detection efforts.

  • Assist in developing and executing incident response plans and ensure adherence to best practices.

  • Actively participate in investigations, incident management, and remediation efforts related to resilience incidents.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of response processes, system configurations, and lessons learned from incidents.

  • Provide training to SOC personnel on response plans, technologies, and best practices.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions related to response strategies and technology stacks.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in response processes and contribute to resilience strategy enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in incident response, resilience analysis, or security operations required.

  • Proven experience with GRC tools, particularly ServiceNow, required.

  • Proven project management experience in incident response or resilience strategy development.

  • Expert-level communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization, including frequent interactions with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and CEO.

  • Experience with Crisis24 preferred.

  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills, with proficiency in Tableau.

  • Understanding of SOC operations and security incident response protocols.

  • Experience in managing response efforts during security incidents.

  • Knowledge of configuring and integrating response technologies and processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Base Salary Range: $64,700 - $86,300 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
