Revenue Analyst

We are looking for high energy, hands-on individual to join the Revenue Operations team. In this position you will be required to assist with our global revenue accounting procedures alongside a hardworking, dedicated team. This role requires a strong understanding of Box’s business model and the ability to review, reconcile, and validate all revenue streams in accordance with GAAP.  A successful candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment as well as be well versed in the technical and operational aspects of the order to cash process.

• Assist with global revenue recognition processes including recording revenue in Netsuite, performing revenue related reconciliations, and provide insights to revenue as needed to management.

• Assist with the global bad-debt allowance reserve on a quarterly basis.

• Manage and complete assigned revenue related General Ledger reconciliations including Deferred Revenue and Accounts Receivable.

• Perform monthly fluctuation analysis for all global revenue accounts and revenue related balance sheet accounts.

• Liaison with and assist the International Controllership team(s) with revenue related reporting, analysis and inquires. Support needs for local stat audits as requested.

• Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliations, recurring / non-recurring revenue, allowance for doubtful accounts

• Assist with additional projects and tasks related to Controllership & Finance as they arise.

Experience:

• BA/BS or equivalent 2/3-year degree preferred

• Minimum 1-2 years of previous experience in Operations & Revenue Accounting

• Familiarity with revenue, billing, and accounting systems (Zuora, Netsuite, Salesforce)

• Basic understanding of the order to cash process and accounting impacts

• Ability to use good judgement and strong problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly make well-founded decisions in new and varied situations, while taking into account multiple sources of data and business policies, and downstream implications.
