Forbes Vetted is seeking a qualified reviews coordinator to assist with operations and editorial support for our tested product review content, on a part-time basis.
Working in close collaboration with the reviews editor and our team of section editors (who cover mattresses, electronics, beauty products, fashion, baby gear, outdoor gear, appliances, furniture and more), the reviews coordinator will be responsible for supporting the logistics of creating tested content. Work will include coordinating the nuts and bolts of product testing: organizing testing panels; calling in products from PR contacts; ordering supplies and ingredients; making shipping labels and scheduling product pickups; tracking receipts, products and waivers in our project management system; as well as assisting with editorial tasks as needed. The reviews coordinator will also help build and update tested content in our CMS and may possibly write short updates to tested stories as time allows and is needed.
This is a remote part-time role with an option to commute to the Jersey City Forbes office if desired.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating testing logistics, including calling in or ordering products, supplies and ingredientsĀ
- Facilitating product setups, pickups and donations
- Working closely with editors and writers to organize testing panelsĀ
- Maintaining project management tools including receipt, product and waiver trackers
- Overseeing logistical accounts such as the tested operations email inbox, FedEx, Amazon and UberĀ
- Assisting with content production in our proprietary CMS
- Helping with editorial tasks as neededĀ
The ideal candidate:
- Has at least 1 year of prior editorial experience (including internships) and impeccable writing skills, preferably in the consumer products space
- Has administrative experience, preferably in the editorial sector, including calling in and tracking media samples
- Has mastery over project management tools like Monday and Google Sheets; familiarity working in an editorial content management system is a big plus
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills, as this is a highly collaborative roleĀ
- Has strong organizational skills and knows how to take initiative to solve problems
Scope and compensation:Ā
Up to 20 hours per week. While this role is part-time and flexible, we would establish a cadence for working hours (for example, a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule).
The hourly rate for this role is $35.00 - $40.00
