We are seeking an equally passionate Risk Management Analyst who plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with PosiGen projects and partnerships. The position manages the development, implementation, and application of risk metrics and methodologies, and the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of financial risk exposures. 

This position is open to remote candidates legally authorized to work in the United States and residing in the following states: AZ, CA, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MA, MI, MS, NC, NH, NJ, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, & VA.

Essential Job Functions

Risk Identification and Assessment:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for solar projects, considering financial, technical, environmental, and regulatory factors
  • Identify and analyze potential risks associated with project development, build, and operation phases
  • Manipulate and interpret risk-related data using risk information management software (RIMS)

Financial Risk Analysis:

  • Evaluate financial models to assess project viability and identify potential financial risks
  • Analyze market trends, currency fluctuations, and financial indicators impacting the solar industry
  • Quantify the potential negative effects of risk-related activities

Partner Performance Evaluation:

  • Prepare risk management scorecards to evaluate partner performance
  • Implement risk management policies and procedures and track adherence

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of local, regional, and national regulations affecting the solar industry
  • Ensure projects comply with relevant regulatory requirements

Contract Review and Negotiation:

  • Review and assess contracts with suppliers, contractors, and other partners to identify and manage risks
  • Collaborate with legal teams to negotiate favorable terms and conditions

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for senior management and project teams
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external partners to convey risk assessments and mitigation strategies

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience as a Risk Management Analyst
  • Minimum of two (2) years at a solar financing provider
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial models.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the solar sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
