This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Robotics Solutions Engineer based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to design and develop advanced robotics solutions that power autonomous systems and real-world applications.
You will work across the full robotics software stack, from sensor integration and perception to motion planning and behavioral systems.
The position combines deep technical engineering with hands-on problem solving in a remote, collaborative environment.
You will contribute to building reliable, production-ready robotic platforms while partnering with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Accountabilities:
The Robotics Solutions Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing software systems that enable autonomous robotic platforms. The role requires strong technical ownership, collaboration across engineering disciplines, and a focus on delivering scalable, reliable solutions.
- Develop and maintain robotics software using C++ and Python, ensuring strong performance, reliability, and real-time execution.
- Design and integrate sensor data pipelines involving cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, and other robotic sensing technologies.
- Implement perception, localization, mapping, SLAM, and sensor fusion solutions to support accurate environmental understanding.
- Develop motion planning, control, and trajectory generation algorithms that enable safe and predictable robot behavior.
- Build behavioral systems using state machines, behavior trees, and task planning frameworks.
- Integrate ROS and ROS 2 frameworks with custom hardware and embedded robotic systems.
- Implement safety-focused software patterns, including fault detection, watchdog systems, and safe-stop mechanisms.
- Create simulation environments using tools such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or similar platforms for testing and development.
- Support field testing activities, including data collection, analysis, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, machine learning, and product teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Maintain clear technical documentation, including architecture designs, operational procedures, and engineering guidelines.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate emerging robotics technologies and recommend solutions based on technical maturity, business needs, and long-term value.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in robotics software engineering or a similar field.
- Strong programming proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Hands-on experience developing robotics applications using ROS or ROS 2.
- Experience with one or more robotics domains, including perception, localization, motion planning, control, or autonomous systems.
- Knowledge of sensor fusion techniques, including Kalman filters, particle filters, and related estimation methods.
- Experience working with simulation environments such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or MuJoCo.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities in real-time, concurrent, and hardware-integrated systems.
- Experience supporting robotics field testing and hardware/software integration.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to document technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teams.
- Familiarity with safety-critical software standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 is preferred.
- Experience with machine learning-based perception systems, autonomous vehicles, drones, industrial automation, or open-source robotics projects is a plus.
- Competitive annual salary range of $100,000–$150,000.
