Position Overview
Valimail is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team to create and secure qualified business opportunities in order to drive sales growth and market penetration. The SDR will focus on building business, pre-qualifying leads, setting up meetings, and coordinating follow-up with the sales team and channel partners. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing sales organization providing unique services that protect government customers and citizens from malicious cyber activity (phishing, fraud, scams, etc).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Work closely with sales teams to schedule qualified demonstrations, meetings, build pipeline, and produce real business opportunities in accordance with approved sales management guidelines
- Prospect for new business through a high volume of email and phone outreach to targeted prospects , and following up with prospects as previously identified
- Call on prospects from inbound leads including website, events, webinars, and other marketing programs
- Identify qualified prospects and navigate organizational structures to identify key decision makers and influencers
- Keep accurate records in our CRM and build client profiles by updating client information and managing sensitive client and prospect data
- Learn, understand, and apply the Valimail value proposition and our world-class business processes
About You:
- Lead generation or inside sales experience
- Experience with heavy cold calling volume
- Great listener, quick thinker, and the ability to work independently and as a team
- Experience in a government and/or legal sales environment preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong detail orientation with the ability to follow defined processes
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.)
- Experience with Salesforce
