As the National Sales Director, you will be a crucial leader on BrainPOP’s sales team.  You will work closely with all internal teams to ensure BrainPOP is viewed as a state-of-the-art science program successfully implemented in classrooms worldwide.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of Field Sales Representatives to achieve the annual revenue goals successfully
  • Create, manage, and execute plans for the Sales team to employ consultative and solutions-oriented sales strategies to prospect and build an opportunity pipeline. 
  • Manage the sales pipeline and ensure all leads are followed up on in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a conduit between Sales, Marketing, PLS, Learning, and Product to ensure our efforts are unified to meet the yearly revenue goals for BrainPOP.
  • Identify, manage, and support district opportunities for BrainPOP pilots
  • Provide compelling BrainPOP presentations and product demos
  • Coordinate sales, support, and professional learning teams to bring pilots to success
  • Develop deep knowledge of all BrainPOP products as a prerequisite for providing world-class support and service to educators.
  • Bring a strong understanding and expertise of standards and pedagogy trends to elevate your ability to listen to customer needs and strategically pair BrainPOP products to address them.
  • Confidently communicate and work collaboratively with other internal BrainPOP teams, sharing innovative solutions for customer issues and communicating observations/ feedback from partners to help inform future product development efforts. 

You Are:

  • A self-starter with great instincts and the ability to discern upcoming needs
  • A team player with the time management and organizational skills to also work independently 
  • A strong problem-solver with analytical skills to help districts overcome barriers and maximize the use of BrainPOP 
  • An outstanding verbal and written communicator with audiences of all levels
  • A strong listener with questioning skills to gain a strategic understanding of customer needs and challenges
  • An adaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure in ambiguous environments

On Your Resume:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least three years in a managerial position
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel as needed

BrainPOP is a hybrid work environment, allowing employees to self-select where they work–whether fully remote in approved states or in-office in our New York headquarters.

We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location. We have competitive pay bands for all other countries based on market standards. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. Based on these factors, we expect most of the candidates offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range.
