This Sales Director role focuses on driving strategic growth within the healthcare payer market by developing new business opportunities and strengthening long-term client relationships.
The position plays a key role in expanding a growing portfolio of health plan partnerships through consultative sales and solution-based selling.
You will collaborate with business development, leadership, and cross-functional teams to shape sales strategies and deliver measurable revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will bring strong healthcare industry knowledge, relationship-building expertise, and a proven ability to influence senior decision-makers.

Accountabilities:

The Sales Director will own the development and execution of growth strategies by identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships, and guiding prospects through the full sales lifecycle. The role requires a strong understanding of healthcare markets, consultative selling, and client partnership development.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve short- and long-term business growth objectives.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and industry relationships.
  • Lead all stages of the sales process, including lead generation, discovery meetings, solution presentations, proposal development, and implementation support.
  • Establish trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across health plans, payers, and related healthcare organizations.
  • Conduct effective business development meetings to communicate solution value and address client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to analyze prospect data, identify opportunities, and support customized business proposals.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, sales forecasts, and performance updates for leadership teams.
  • Monitor healthcare industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Support successful onboarding and transition of new clients after contracts are secured.
  • Represent the organization professionally at industry events and conferences, with travel required during peak conference periods.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is a strategic and relationship-focused sales professional with experience selling healthcare solutions and managing complex business development cycles. Strong communication skills, commercial judgment, and the ability to engage executive stakeholders are essential.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
    • 3–8 years of relevant sales, business development, or healthcare partnership experience.
    • Proven success in consultative selling and building relationships with key decision-makers.
    • Strong knowledge of the payer, managed care, healthcare benefits, or network management landscape.
    • Experience with healthcare solutions, DMEPOS, or related industries is preferred.
    • Ability to understand healthcare economics, contractual models, and business strategy.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify business opportunities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
    • Strong leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Experience using CRM platforms and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% during industry conference seasons.
