What You'll Work On

The Director Sales Force Effectiveness oversees and direct the development, implementation and improvements of the sales processes to increase sales force productivity and effectiveness.

Additionally, this role assists the DVP of US Commercial in directing and managing the execution of strategic projects and tactical objectives across the USO.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, developing and delivering sales force effectiveness programs.
  • Track effectiveness, train, support and ensure adoption pre-sale practices across USO commercial team.
  • Partner with Sales Management teams to build and maintain the sales process with insightful solutions to track accounts opening, opportunity by market and key activities required to sustain and grow business.
  • Support the evaluation and recommendation of sales targets, sales force alignment and promotional efforts.
  • Lead sales force and leadership coaching efforts
  • Provide interim sales support in open account and territories
  • Lead strategic sales efforts (such as value expansion initiatives) as determined by the DVP of US Commercial
  • Regularly review and communicate findings, potential solutions, recommendations, and action items with Distributor Managers and Commercial teams globally.
  • Oversee the budget.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (± 16 years) an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Experience/Background

  • Bachelor's degree - preferably in Economics, Statistics and/or Business.
  • Preferred 10+ years of business experience in customer facing and cross functional roles with a mix of skills in sales, marketing, customer analytics at multi brand/multichannel organizations.
  • At least 5 years' experience working directly with distribution and channel management teams, ideally across multiple countries and regions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Healthcare/Medical Devices Industry.
  • Ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead a team and work in a group environment, including interaction with Senior level leadership.
  • Ability to develop strategic recommendations based on analysis of complex data input and present to client/ product teams.
  • Ability to consider complex problems and offer valid solutions.
  • Able to offer practical experience of successful sales practices implementations in the field.
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and interact at all levels of the business from Executive level down.
