This role is designed for a high-impact sales leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environments and is passionate about driving customer expansion and retention. You will lead a team of Mid-Market Account Managers responsible for growing revenue within an existing customer base while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and long-term value. The position combines hands-on leadership with strategic execution, requiring the ability to coach, scale, and optimize a data-driven team. You will play a key role in shaping account management practices, forecasting accuracy, and revenue growth strategies. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams. You will operate in a dynamic environment where ambiguity, speed, and ownership are essential to success.
Accountabilities:
- Lead, hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing Mid-Market Account Management team focused on revenue growth and retention
- Manage day-to-day team execution, ensuring consistent customer engagement, pipeline development, and expansion opportunities
- Coach and support Account Managers through 1:1s, performance management, and structured career development
- Implement forecasting processes and ensure accurate revenue and renewal projections across the team
- Drive expansion, upsell, and cross-sell strategies to maximize account value and customer lifetime revenue
- Support team members in customer and internal meetings, providing guidance and escalation support when needed
- Develop and refine account management playbooks, processes, and best practices for scale
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales to align strategies and execution
- Ensure strong product adoption and customer engagement across the mid-market portfolio
- Monitor data quality, opportunity management, and CRM discipline to ensure operational excellence
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that improve tooling, processes, and overall team effectiveness
- 6+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Renewals, or Account Management roles
- 2+ years of experience managing a metrics-driven, customer-facing sales or account management team in a high-growth environment
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through expansion, upsell, and retention strategies
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product and other internal teams to improve customer outcomes
- Strong customer-centric mindset balanced with revenue accountability
- Ability to navigate ambiguity with resilience, structure, and a solution-oriented approach
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and mid-market customer dynamics
- Comfortable operating in data-driven environments with forecasting and performance metrics
- Competitive total compensation ranging from $235,000 – $300,000 USD (OTE depending on location tier)
