Job Description

Role: Sales Operations Analyst

Description: Blackthorn is looking for a strategic and operationally excellent Sales Operations/Deal Desk Analyst to lead our deal flow systems and processes through our next wave of growth. This role will work extensively with the initial and customer sales teams to provide contract negotiation, procurement, and operations. You will be responsible for providing direct support to the sales and cs team. Our 2-person rev ops team is 8 months new with ambitious yet realistic goals that align with our projected revenue growth. Our deal and contract processes are ready to scale, and if you can articulate the business value of your ideas, you’ll have ample room to make a real impact and create a solid foundation.

Base Salary: $115,000 - $125,000

What you’ll do

  • Be the subject matter expert on all aspects of SaaS deal contract and contract operations process, including mastery of Salesforce.com and other sales/accounting transaction tools
  • Suggest ways to reduce sales drag for the sales and customer success teams and implement (from a training and technical perspective) those suggested processes based on your experience
  • Handle all projects and sales team needs regarding order form and quote generation, contract negotiation and procurement, monthly commissions, territory management, and partnering with legal and information security experts
  • Coach and mentor the sales teams on complex deals
  • Discounting structure Control deal quality by establishing deal discount limit and approval processes
  • Establish team SLAs that unite our sales teams
  • Work with senior executives and staff members across the entire organization - especially sales, customer success, accounting, and legal contractors

What we look for 

  • At least 3 years saas experience in an analytic, Deal Desk, Sales Operations, and/or operational role within Sales/Sales Operations or Finance
  • Have run complex deals end-to-end, including but not limited to modeling out different deal options and collaboratively working with internal partners on those different options
  • Experience with Salesforce (Salesforce admin cert required) including Salesforce reporting
  • Have an analyst's excellent attention to detail
  • Brevity is key: Clear and thoughtful communicator with exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Have stellar project management skills (sprint/agile process); you set clear expectations and timelines for partners who are collaborating on deals and keep yourself and others involved accountable
  • Self-taught mentality: Someone who isn’t afraid to dive in headfirst to learn a new app or figure out how something works
  • You are passionate about helping others succeed but can balance time to focus on your own objectives
  • Not be afraid to admit if you don’t have the answer
  • Not required, but candidates will go directly to the top of the list if they can show complex Salesforce flow experience and process conception to solutioning, to completion
