The Role:
Simple Technology Solutions is seeking a Solution Architect to join our technical leadership team and work closely with the Business Development Executive and sales team on capture and proposal efforts. This includes meeting with customers and partners to understand their needs and develop customized solutions in the form of written proposals, white papers, and solution diagrams, and participating in orals and technical challenges. The ideal candidate will have worked in hands-on technical delivery roles supporting agency-level digital transformations, complemented with strong communications skills and experience in sales and customer engagement.
Quick Position Overview:
US Citizenship is required
A minimum of 8 yearsâ experience as a solution architect, with a focus on enterprise integration of cloud, DevSecOps, SW development and agile architecture and processes
At least 1 year experience supporting sales activities
Certifications for cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP), DevSecOps and agile
The Sales Solution Architect at STS will:
- Participate in sales meetings with government customers and industry partners to provide technical expertise and guidance, and to understand technical business challenges and goals.
- Write technical proposals, white papers, and thought leadership blogs in the areas of cloud, application and data migration, and data engineering
- Participate in sales engineering, including building solution prototypes to solve customer challenges
- Participate in orals and technical challenges
- Develop solutions (in the form of architecture diagrams, graphics, and demos) that meet customer needs and align with company capabilities
- Work with sales team to qualify and capture opportunities by vetting technical âgoodness of fitâ
- Stay up to date on technology trends and emerging technologies that may impact the federal technology market
Education and Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus with a focus on enterprise integration and automation and executive-level customer engagement
- Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with cloud technologies, enterprise cloud and DevSecOps governance, data engineering, and application modernization
- Expertise developing innovative solution architectures for proposals (unifying diagram, drill-in diagrams, and related explanatory content) that effectively integrates technical and management approaches
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and enterprise integration concepts to executive-level stakeholders (both technical and non-technical)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
