The Scrum Master is entrusted with embodying, promoting, and facilitating an agile and effective development process. This person understands the value of the philosophy of scrum and agile and has a great feel for people and how to uplift everything and make the team better than the individuals it is composed of. More than anything, this person can understand what needs to be done, and how to remove any barriers to success.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Guide product and development teams on Scrum practices and principles to deliver high quality products
  • Collaborate with Scrum team, Product Manager and stakeholders to drive decision making for product teams
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Oversee and manage work in support of sprint goals
  • Measure team performance
  • Resolve any problems or obstacles that occur during each sprint
  • Help with the management of product backlog
  • Monitor sprint progress to ensure work is staying on track
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Coach the team in agile methodology practices
  • Evangelize scrum and agile to the company
  • Help teams implement changes effectively

Need to have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • 1-3 years of experience or sufficient experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or related role
  • Demonstrated experience with Scrum framework and other Agile frameworks, principles, and techniques
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and processes
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices
  • Current Scrum Master certification
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with Jira

Nice to have

  • Project level administrative experience with Jira
  • Experience as a software developer
  • Computer Science degree
  • Computer Networking background/knowledge
  • Education Industry background
  • B2B Product experience
