Security Architect

The Security Architect will be responsible for defining and advising on security requirements for solutions. This position is a security subject matter expert applying broad technical skills and security-focused expertise in solution architecture, technical architecture and software/systems engineering. This individual will lead cross-functional efforts and ensure solutions meet Security standards and industry best practice.

Job Responsibilities

• Review solution design for compliance to Information Security Standards.
• Provide security requirements and recommendations on solution design to technical and business teams
• Provide oversight and leadership for automation
• Review architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and network diagrams and advise on non-compliance issues.
• Lead security architecture direction for solutions as well as Influence peers, cross functional partners, and IT leadership
• Effectively communicate security risk to various audience levels
• Assist in setting the strategic security direction and approach for utilizing new technologies
• Utilize security expertise to influence approaches to solving strategic business needs
• Understand security trends and direction technology must take to support the business

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or a related discipline) or relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience in information security, including engineering and implementation of complex security systems
• 5+  years of experience with OSI model, creation and maintenance of flow diagrams, network diagrams, communicating and collaboration in company environments
• Familiarity with industry benchmarks such as NIST-CSF, ISO 27001 etc.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solution development and thought leadership
• Must have working knowledge of standard IT technologies and Cloud services
• Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results
• Solid understanding of Threat and Vulnerability Management, SIEM, EDR, DMARC, DKIM, DLP, and PKI
• Proven Experience applying security architecture framework to IT solutions
• Experience with cybersecurity tools, process, methods, and fundamentals
• Significant technical expertise in cloud security, network security, application security
• Programming or system administration experience are a plus
• CISSP or equivalent security certification preferred
• Experience with SentinelOne is preferred
