ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Global Controllership organization. This role supports and reports to the Senior Operational Controller. The Senior Accountant will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial results and drive transformation initiatives through implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of the closing process. Also, the Senior Accountant will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem solve, scope business requirements and priorities. Successful candidates will have deep experience in the following principles – Accounting, Process Flows/Improvement.Â
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and record all accruals for employee costs, including benefit accounting
- Support fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules and construction in progress capitalization
- Calculate and record all pre-paid expenditures and prepare amortization schedule
- Calculate and record all accruals for all other costs in appropriate accounts
- Work with Global Supply Chain team to support Inventory accounting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner, following the accounting policy
- Support monthly and quarterly review rhythm with cross-functional teams to analyze and document balance sheet and P&L composition and fluctuations
- Support strategic changes around legal, operational, and accounting structure
- Other ad hoc projects as required
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a global manufacturing and/or consumer products or distribution industry
- 5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects
- Strong working knowledge of global processes and related transactional flows
- Strong proficiency in US GAAP and authoritative accounting literature
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience Â
