Digital Ocean is looking for a Senior Accountant to help for a temporary assignment from January through September 2023.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for processing core accounting functions for Fixed Assets and Capitalized Software. This position will also assist with business process transformation, establishing and maintaining accounting policies, and internal controls.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for processing core accounting functions for Fixed Assets and Capitalized Software. This position will also assist with business process transformation, establishing and maintaining accounting policies, and internal controls.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Process and review Fixed Asset and Capitalized Software accounting transactions.
- Document and update standard operating procedures to improve productivity.
- Assist in timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close.
- Reconcile Fixed Asset and Capitalized Software account balances.
- Assist with any audit requests, including remediating and implementing controls as needed.
- Build a positive working relationship with various stakeholders.
What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (or equivalent) preferred.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP is a must.
- Good organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently if required.
- Knowledge of various accounting systems such as NetSuite, NetAsset, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
