This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Accountant – Lifestyle based in India.

This role is a key finance position focused on revenue recognition, billing operations, and month-end close activities within a dynamic, fast-paced media and digital business environment. You will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple lifestyle brands with global reach. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Sales Operations, Receivables, Legal, Tax, and Financial Planning & Analysis. You will also contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and financial accuracy. Operating in a UK shift remote setup, this role requires strong ownership during month-end close cycles and the ability to manage competing priorities. It is well suited for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in structured yet evolving environments and enjoys driving continuous improvement in financial operations.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and support month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries based on detailed analysis of financial transactions and supporting documentation
  • Reconcile sub-ledger and general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze income statement fluctuations and budget-to-actual variances
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support audit requirements and ensure compliance with reporting standards
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Internal Audit, and Financial Operations teams to support reporting and business initiatives
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance billing accuracy, reporting efficiency, and operational effectiveness
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • 3–6 years of progressive experience in accounting, billing operations, or financial reporting roles
    • Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger accounting principles
    • Experience in revenue recognition and month-end close processes
    • Prior exposure to SaaS, technology, or media environments is preferred
    • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional engagement
    • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion Cloud and CRM tools like Salesforce is an advantage
    • Ability to work effectively in a UK shift (9am–5:30pm UK time) with extended hours during close periods
