Foxit Corporation is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations in Japan. The Senior Accounting Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial reporting while contributing to the growth and success of our business in the Japanese market.

1. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

•Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with local Japanese GAAP and US GAAP.

•Monitor and ensure compliance with all local and international accounting regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.

•Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.

2. Financial Planning and Analysis:

•Collaborate with the corporate finance team to develop and manage budgets and forecasts for the Japanese operations.

•Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

•Participate in the configuration of Netsuite Budgeting and Planning Module in 2024 for APAC Operations.

3. Team Management:

•Lead the accounting department creating a professional multi-department collaboration, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

•Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll postings, and general ledger reporting functions.

4. Tax Compliance:

•Ensure compliance with all Japanese tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, consumption tax, and transfer pricing.

•Work with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategies.

•Led recent changes to the Japanese National Consumption Tax Act of 1988 in the areas of configuring Avalera for a 10% rate and creating a ‘Qualified Invoice’ in Netsuite.

5. Risk Management:

•Identify financial risks and implement appropriate internal controls to mitigate them.

•Develop and maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets.

6. Treasury and Cash Management:

•Manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and oversee banking relationships.

•Monitor foreign exchange exposure and implement hedging strategies when necessary.

7. Process Improvement:

•Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.

•Implement best practices in financial reporting and accounting operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Extensive knowledge of Japanese GAAP and IFRS.

• Strong understanding of Japanese tax laws and regulations.

• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
