Senior Accounting Manager

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations for U.S.-based clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting in a remote and fast-moving environment. You will also serve as the main point of contact for client stakeholders, translating financial data into clear insights and maintaining strong professional relationships.

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense tracking, and vendor/client financial interactions
• Act as the primary accounting contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of financial outputs
• Support startup-style accounting needs, balancing best practices with operational agility and evolving priorities
• Perform financial analysis and judgment in less structured environments while maintaining accuracy and compliance
• Integrate and optimize tools connected to QuickBooks Online to streamline accounting workflows
• Stay up to date with emerging financial technologies, including automation and AI applications in accounting

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong experience in U.S. accounting standards, client-facing environments, and startup or high-growth operational contexts. You bring both technical depth and the ability to work independently in a distributed, remote-first structure.

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with U.S.-based companies (CPA is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, and month-end processes
• Experience in client-facing or stakeholder management roles, ideally in public accounting or service environments
• Familiarity with startup accounting practices and ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and strong experience with accounting integrations
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Slack, Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive), Zoom, and similar platforms
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex financial topics clearly
• High ownership mindset, adaptability, and ability to work independently in remote environments
