Senior Analyst, Global Network Strategy and Operations

The Global Network Strategy & Operations (GNSO) team is responsible for developing partnerships that produce mutually beneficial results for Marqeta and our strategic partner organizations.  GNSO plays a vital role to deliver our vision to the market.  Key to this role will be understanding the network landscape, payments processing and an ability to align internal and external stakeholders.  You’ll be collaborating closely with the Marqeta extended team, including Business Development, Customer Success, Delivery, Finance, Product, Compliance, Legal and Technology.

Marqeta is looking for a Solutions Associate Manager who is an influential leader that collaborates cross functionally to gain alignment as Marqeta continues to scale and expand. This role will focus on network updates and releases, including assessment and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires a detail oriented influencer who can drive initiatives in a matrixed environment. You have an opportunity for tremendous impact as we scale the business.

• Solid understanding of network rules, products and processes
• Assess network updates, engage with key stakeholders to prioritize and address opportunities
• Engage with external network subject matter experts to provide clarity on network rules, products and/or processes
• Manage requests, drive resolution, and ensure accountability (internally & externally)
• Provide thought leadership to optimize network updates and releases
• Project manage network initiatives, drive resolution, and ensure accountability (internally & externally)
• Gather, organize and present network updates and release KPI data 
• Develop and drive new/improved processes  
• Elevate messaging about network updates and releases across Marqeta

• Self-starter who is a consummate team player and has demonstrated the ability to thrive in the face of ambiguity
• Ability to prioritize, manage and deliver on multiple projects; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive timelines
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to work with stakeholders across different functions and levels, both internally and with partners.
• Flexibility with schedule given working for US company based in California (though will work to respect time zones
• Foundation of integrity and strong character to consistently represent Marqeta’s values
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5+ years experience with issuer processing and/or payment networks
• Proven project management skills from both a business and technical perspective
• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and knowledge of Visa and/or Mastercard products, services and features
• Ability to bridge the language gap between business and technical teams
• Operates as an owner and drives accountability for assigned tasks 
• Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high-quality deliverables
• Solid communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written)
• Knowledge of Visa and/or Mastercard rules, products and processes
• Ability to travel: 10%

• Experience with JIRA
• Network Product/Technical experience with transaction messages/processing
