This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AWS Consultant based in the United States.

This role offers an opportunity for an experienced cloud professional to design and operate enterprise-scale AWS environments that support critical business operations.
The position focuses on cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, security, reliability, and continuous improvement across complex technology ecosystems.
You will work hands-on with modern AWS services, DevOps practices, and cloud-native solutions while helping teams adopt scalable and secure architectures.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence engineering decisions.
This is a fully remote opportunity within the United States, offering long-term engagement and meaningful technical ownership.
You will contribute to building resilient cloud platforms while collaborating with application, security, and infrastructure teams.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior AWS Consultant, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure cloud platforms while providing technical guidance across cloud engineering initiatives.

  • Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade AWS environments across compute, networking, storage, identity, and managed data services.
  • Design and implement scalable AWS architectures focused on reliability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK with strong engineering practices.
  • Build and manage AWS multi-account environments, including landing zones, governance models, centralized logging, and shared services.
  • Design secure networking solutions including VPC architectures, subnetting, routing, transit gateways, VPN, and Direct Connect integrations.
  • Implement enterprise IAM strategies using AWS roles, permission boundaries, SSO, and least-privilege access controls.
  • Deploy and operate containerized workloads using Amazon EKS, ECS, and related cloud-native technologies.
  • Manage AWS data and analytics services including RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift, Glue, and Kinesis.
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Establish observability practices through monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and service-level objectives.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives through resource analysis, right-sizing, savings plans, and architectural improvements.
  • Implement disaster recovery strategies, automated backups, cross-region replication, and operational runbooks.
  • Strengthen cloud security posture through AWS security services and collaboration with security teams.
  • Advise development teams on AWS best practices, cloud-native patterns, and architecture decisions.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts using Python, Bash, or Go to improve operational efficiency.
  • Mentor engineers, contribute to architecture reviews, and promote cloud engineering best practices.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is an experienced AWS professional with strong cloud engineering expertise, automation skills, and the ability to design secure enterprise solutions.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, including at least 3 years working with AWS production environments.
    • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and CloudFormation.
    • Proven experience designing and managing infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
    • Experience operating Amazon EKS or ECS clusters in production environments.
    • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
    • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting; experience with Go or PowerShell is a plus.
    • Deep knowledge of cloud security principles, encryption, identity management, key management, and compliance requirements.
    • Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions in cloud environments.
    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, security, application, and operations teams.
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification preferred.
    • Experience with AWS Organizations, multi-account governance, zero-trust networking, service mesh technologies, or FinOps practices is a plus.
    • Experience supporting regulated environments such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP is preferred.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States; no new H1B sponsorship is available, though qualified H1B transfer candidates may be considered.
