Senior AWS Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AWS Engineer based in United States.

This role sits at the core of modern cloud transformation initiatives, where you will design, build, and optimize scalable cloud-native solutions on Amazon Web Services. You will partner directly with clients to translate business and technical requirements into robust, secure, and high-performing architectures. The position blends hands-on engineering with consultative problem-solving, ensuring solutions are aligned with long-term business goals. You will contribute to modernization efforts, including application refactoring and infrastructure automation, while driving best practices in cloud engineering. A strong focus is placed on CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and continuous optimization across cost, reliability, and scalability dimensions. You will also work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, continuous learning, and practical use of emerging technologies, including AI tools. • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud solutions on AWS tailored to client requirements
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into secure, scalable architectures
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and automated deployment processes
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
• Support application modernization initiatives, including refactoring legacy systems for cloud environments
• Optimize AWS environments for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide ongoing operational support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end solution quality and delivery excellence
• Actively leverage and promote the use of AI tools to improve engineering workflows and productivity

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, scalability, and distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong problem-solving and consultative mindset focused on business outcomes
• Ability to work directly with clients and translate technical concepts into clear solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal abilities
• Experience mentoring, collaborating, and contributing to team development
• Interest in or experience with AI tools and emerging technologies is highly valued
