Senior Azure Systems & Platform Engineer

You will manage and support secure Azure-based and hybrid environments, ensuring stability, compliance, and efficient platform operations across enterprise mission systems.

• Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and security compliance
• Deploy and manage Azure compute, storage, networking, and identity services in alignment with operational and security requirements
• Perform system monitoring, patching, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery operations across hosted environments
• Support application and system deployments through standardized packaging, configuration, and environment promotion processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, platform, and application issues in collaboration with development, cybersecurity, and operations teams
• Implement configuration management, change control, and documentation standards to ensure audit-ready environments
• Support system onboarding, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability and efficiency

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on Azure experience, systems administration expertise, and the ability to operate in secure, compliance-driven environments.

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in systems administration, platform engineering, or related technical roles
• Hands-on experience managing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments in production settings
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher certification required
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT-II compliant certification (e.g., Security+, SSCP, GSEC) required
• Active Top Secret clearance required
• Strong understanding of infrastructure operations including identity, networking, compute, and storage in Azure
• Experience with configuration management, system hardening, and secure deployment practices in regulated environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and incident response skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams
