Team: IT

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect based in United States.

This is a senior technical leadership role focused on defining and driving cloud architecture strategy across a modern, healthcare-focused SaaS environment. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions that support multi-tenant platforms deployed across major hyperscalers. Acting as a key bridge between engineering, security, operations, and product teams, you will help shape architectural standards, improve cloud governance, and enable consistent delivery of cloud-native services. The role combines deep hands-on cloud and security expertise with strategic oversight, ensuring systems meet strict compliance and performance requirements. You will also play a critical role in evaluating emerging technologies, guiding cloud modernization efforts, and establishing best practices across multi-cloud environments. This is a highly influential position suited for someone who thrives in complex, regulated, and mission-driven technical ecosystems.

Accountabilities:

Lead the design and execution of a scalable multi-cloud architecture strategy, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient delivery of SaaS and managed services across enterprise environments.

  • Define and implement cloud reference architectures for multi-tenant deployments across Azure, AWS, and other hyperscaler environments.
  • Establish architectural standards, guiding principles, and documentation for cloud infrastructure, security, and operational best practices.
  • Design and implement cloud security frameworks, working closely with security teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, ISO, and HITRUST.
  • Develop and maintain cloud cost management, utilization tracking, and optimization strategies across platforms.
  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, evaluating emerging cloud technologies and driving innovation across infrastructure and platform services.
  • Provide technical leadership for cloud, container, and application security, including identity management, networking, and threat modeling.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to improve system reliability, remove technical bottlenecks, and enhance deployment efficiency.
  • Act as a senior advisor to executive stakeholders, presenting architectural strategy, roadmaps, and technical recommendations.
  • Requirements:

Bring deep expertise in cloud architecture, security, and infrastructure design, with a proven ability to lead complex multi-cloud environments and drive enterprise-scale solutions.

    • 5+ years of experience in cloud or solutions architecture with strong focus on securing cloud-based systems (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
    • Strong hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
    • Deep knowledge of cloud security practices, including identity protocols (OAuth, OpenID), threat modeling, and infrastructure protection.
    • Experience designing and securing distributed systems, including networking, databases, containers, and serverless architectures.
    • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, ISO, and HITRUST.
    • Strong background in infrastructure components including firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, VPNs, and network architecture.
    • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both executive and technical audiences.
    • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
    • Ability to mentor teams and act as a trusted technical advisor across the organization.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive salary and comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
      • Remote-first work environment with flexible scheduling
      • Retirement savings plans including employer contribution options
      • Paid time off, sick leave, and flexible vacation policies
      • Employee assistance and wellness programs
      • Professional development and cloud certification support
      • Exposure to advanced cloud, security, and healthcare data platforms
