What’s Cool About This Job 

The Senior Content Strategy Manager will be the "brain" behind our content strategy. Working closely with WEKA’s communications, product, digital marketing, and creative teams, they will help to translate deep technology concepts into compelling content that our target audiences will find interesting, informative and engaging. They will help to build a new content factory and monitor performance metrics to inform and optimize our content strategy over time. They will also research target audiences and identify their watering holes and content consumption preferences to ensure our marketing content informs, educates, delights, and engages our customers, prospects, partners, and industry influencers.

The successful candidate will be an organized, solution-forward, creative self-starter with exceptional interpersonal and time management skills. They will also have a passion for content strategy and an understanding of industry best practices for creating strategic content roadmaps, identifying prospect watering holes and successfully engaging them in marketing and sales content on WEKA’s website and beyond. 
  

This is a net-new position in our rapidly expanding global marketing team, reporting to WEKA’s Vice President of Global Communications. 
 

Responsibilities will include:  

  • Content strategy development: Creating a strategic roadmap outlining content pillars, key topics, distribution channels, and editorial calendars aligned with WEKA's business and marketing objectives. 
  • Content ideation and planning: Develop ideas for new content, including blog posts, byline articles, videos, infographics, advertising, paid media placements, and more. 
  • Market research and audience analysis: Conduct thorough research to understand our target buying audiences, their needs, pain points, watering holes, and preferred content formats to tailor content accordingly. 
  • Content development: Collaborate with a cross-functional team of content creators to produce high-quality content.  
  • Brand guideline development and governance: Develop WEKA’s brand voice and style guidelines, helping to ensure compliance across all published external content.  
  • SEO optimization: Implement SEO best practices to improve WEKA’s content visibility in search engine results. 
  • Content distribution and promotion: Work cross-functionally to ensure content is effectively distributed in marketing campaigns across WEKA’s owned, earned, and paid media channels and on other relevant platforms. 
  • Performance analysis and reporting: Track key metrics, such as website traffic, engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates, to measure content effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Content governance and quality control: Establishing content guidelines, maintaining consistency in brand voice, and ensuring content quality across all channels. 

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications 

  • 7+ years experience in either content strategy and development or product or corporate marketing with enterprise or deep tech companies. Experience managing writing agencies and contractors is a plus.  
  • Deep insight into content strategies and best practices: Demonstrated experience working with deep technical content and concepts and using it to educate, engage, and persuade prospective buying audiences.   
  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to interpret data, analyze audience behavior, and use insights to inform content strategy.  
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills: Proficiency in crafting clear, concise copy and engaging content. 
  • Enterprise and digital marketing domain expertise: Demonstrated understanding of enterprise tech and digital marketing practices, including SEO, social media, and email marketing.  
  • Strong project and time management skills: Ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.  
  • Communication skills: Effective communication with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and stakeholders.  
  • Creativity and innovation: Ability to generate fresh, engaging content ideas to capture audience attention.
