Senior Data Engineer, Supply Chain Defense

Location: Remote in the United States

BlueVoyant is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic, cross-functional data engineering team for the Supply Chain Defense (SCD) product.

As a Senior Data Engineer at BlueVoyant SCD, you'll be responsible for ingesting terabytes of cyber risk data daily, creating tools for domain experts to develop analytics on that data, and applying intelligent, high-throughput analytics on that data with tight SLAs for our customer-facing product. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing big data systems, identifying new solutions, and is highly capable of working across teams and domains. 

Responsibilities:

• Build and improve existing data pipelines to support new data feeds, new data analytics, and active data collection (scanning/scraping).
• Work directly with cybersecurity research experts, risk operations analysts, and customer success teams to define requirements, iterate on results, and deliver customer-facing features.
• Monitor process and data quality for data ingest, warehousing, and analytic output.
• Provide data-driven answers and tools for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Enterprise software engineering experience (testing frameworks, CI/CD, code reviews, devops, dashboarding, quality control).
• Cloud data engineering experience (ETL, data warehousing, data modeling, query optimization, process and data scaling)
• Experience preferred, but not required, in our tech stack:
  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Apache Beam (Java) / Google Cloud Dataflow
  • Apache Airflow / Google Cloud Composer
  • BigQuery, BigTable, AlloyDB, Spanner
  • SQL, PostgreSQL, BQL
  • Python
• Data-driven, curious, and team-oriented.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
