Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and cloud-based data infrastructure.
- Lead architectural decisions related to data systems, including pipeline orchestration, storage, and processing frameworks.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data transformations to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability.
- Build production-grade data solutions using programming languages such as Python or Go.
- Collaborate with data science, product, and business teams to translate requirements into actionable data solutions.
- Manage the full data development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in data engineering and software development.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong track record of delivering production-grade data systems.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Strong programming skills in Python; experience with Go is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, GCS, and Airflow.
- Experience building real-time or event-driven data pipelines using tools like Kafka or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with modern data architectures such as data warehouses or lakehouse models.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CI/CD best practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Competitive salary ranging from $140,800 to $158,400 USD, with broader total compensation potential based on experience.
