Senior Data Scientist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Scientist based in India.

This role sits at the intersection of advanced machine learning, applied AI, and security-focused systems, driving the development of intelligent, production-grade solutions within complex enterprise environments. You will work on end-to-end data science initiatives, from problem definition and model development to deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization. The role focuses on building innovative AI capabilities such as security-oriented agents, predictive models, and anomaly detection systems powered by large-scale security data. You will also contribute to adapting and fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific applications, ensuring high performance in real-world use cases. This is a highly technical and impactful position requiring strong analytical depth, creativity, and structured problem-solving. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and security teams to translate complex challenges into scalable AI solutions. • Lead end-to-end data science projects from problem framing through model development, validation, deployment, and ongoing production monitoring.
• Design and build security-focused AI systems, including intelligent agents and multi-step reasoning models.
• Develop and optimize machine learning models for classification, anomaly detection, prediction, and other advanced analytical use cases.
• Fine-tune and adapt large language models (LLMs) for domain-specific security applications and workflows.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and security stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into AI solutions.
• Ensure scalable deployment of models using CI/CD pipelines and best practices in MLOps.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance across multidisciplinary data science initiatives.
• Continuously monitor model performance and improve system reliability, robustness, and accuracy in production.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with proven delivery of end-to-end production ML systems.
• Strong expertise in Python and core data science libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Deep understanding of machine learning concepts, model behavior, and statistical reasoning.
• Solid knowledge of large language models, including fine-tuning and adaptation techniques.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and ability to operate in complex technical environments.
• Experience in applied AI domains such as security analytics, compliance, or enterprise-scale systems is highly valued.
