Senior Director, Internal Communications

About the job:

As Upside’s Internal Communications leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our internal communications function. This role will either report to the Chief Experience Officer on the Marketing Team or the Chief People Officer.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and coordinate editorial content and production of centralized bulletins.
• Own, write, and provide visual and graphic content and think laterally about innovative and stakeholder-centric ways to deliver Upside content to relevant stakeholders through all communications channels.
• Build impactful reports/presentations to communicate with Upside and senior management on project progress, final outcomes, and implementation plans.
• Coordinate Company meetings, Executive meetings and onsite/offsites in partnership with the Leadership Teams including determining goals, agenda and participants, and leading execution.
• Drive effective communication procedures and policies for internal communication across the business.
• Measure, monitor and report on internal communication strategies.

What you need:

• 10+ years experience in corporate or agency corporate communications 
• 7+ people management experience 
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required
• Exceptional communication storytelling abilities – written, spoken, and listening
• Experience working in venture-backed scaling companies, preferably in tech
• Joy in making the complex simple and digestible for all audiences

• Worksite location: This is a fully-remote role that may sit anywhere in the United States. You're welcome to work from our DC, Austin, Chicago or New York office if you're in-region! Full Covid-19 vaccination is required to work from our Upside offices.
