We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director of Engineering to lead a large and talented team responsible for large-scale security solutions serving millions of users. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to build the future of Video Security in a global platform. You will manage engineers across multiple teams and global locations obsess over quality and customers and oversee global deployments. You will be joining an organization with a strong commitment to innovation and a collaborative culture. Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering organization fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Drive and communicate the technical strategy and roadmap for the team ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.

• Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions meeting scalability performance and security requirements.

• Partner cross-functionally with product management security and compliance teams to deliver impactful and compliant solutions.

• Champion engineering best practices and promote a culture of technical excellence collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of software engineering work experience including hands-on technical management.

• 6+ years of experience in an Engineering leadership role.

• Experience successfully evolving organizations with a focus on empowering leadership teams enabling others to make decisions rather than dictating the "correct" way.

• Passionate about creating positive and engaging high-trust employee environments where you care about your people.

• Experience in building and managing diverse high-performing geographically-distributed engineering teams with sensitivity to different cultures.

• A proven track record of shipping complex large-scale products on time and within budget.

• Deep understanding of software architectures and patterns.

• Proven track record of defining and executing an AI-first engineering strategy moving beyond experimentation to deploy scalable production-grade intelligent systems. 

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.

• Strong understanding of security and compliance standards in the technology industry. Oversee the implementation and management of security compliance programs ensuring all cloud and on-premise solutions adhere to relevant regulations (GDPR SOC2 ISO 27001 etc.).

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Target Base Salary Range: $240000 - $275000
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge skills and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
