Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the Senior Director, People Strategy will lead the people strategy team and have overall responsibility for fostering a culture of people strategy continuous improvement.
You will lead the people strategy team with your expertise in partnering with other leaders of the people team and cross-functional business leaders on the strategy development of programs aligned to internal career paths, engagement, retention and succession strategies, the creation of metrics-based feedback and recommendations, compensation programs, and leadership coaching in the areas of performance feedback and accountability.

In this role, you’ll get to:
- Lead and develop a team of People Business Partners responsible for enabling their assigned business units to succeed in the areas of org design, workforce planning, performance management, along with employee engagement and retention
- In partnership with the CPO, and other People Team Leaders, participate in strategic planning to ensure people strategies and programs align to Deepwatch goals
- Develop strategies and programs related to attracting and retaining our expanding employee community, including:
- Organizational Design
- Learning & Development
- Career Path alignment
- Engagement
- Succession Planning
- Establish scalable compliance programs related to global law, audits, immigration strategies and public sector programs
- Lead the development of initiatives in response to engagement survey, onboarding, and exit interview feedback and monitor progress to ensure issues are resolved
- Collaborate with the People Operations team in the implementation and rollout of creative benefits and programs recognized for providing a healthy, rewarding, engaging and fun workplace
- Leverage our unique professional development benefit to participate in professional educational opportunities, subscribe to publications, participate in organizations and maintain expertise of HR trends and job knowledge
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:
- Demonstrate the breadth of expertise commensurate with 15+ years of experience overseeing a variety of human resources functional areas in one or more multi-state technology services companies"
- Draw upon your prior people and talent leadership experience and sound knowledge of relevant methodologies to create the vision, strategic plan and own the execution of the tactical deployment work that results in the delivery of measurable ROI and sustained outcomes
- Leverage your conflict resolution and problem solving skills to coach and foster leadership excellence
- Draw upon your prior experiences requiring a high degree of confidence and business acumen to establish and maintain relationships with senior management, including VP and C-level executives, based on trust and mutual respect
- Possess a broad knowledge and application of global, federal and state employment laws and their application to support rapid growth and expansion
- Thrive in a high performance and evolving culture, ideally by leading with a sense of innovation, humor and humility within otherwise stressful situations
- Exhibit and apply a solid understanding of common business metrics and industry best practices to recommend relevant metrics and practices for Deepwatch
- Currently reside and work from a location in the US Eastern timezone and be willing and able to travel occasionally for internal team and leadership meetings, as well as company events
- Solve business and people problems by applying the knowledge you’ve gained from education such as the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related program;
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or related certification
In the first 90-days, you’ll need to:
- First 30-Days
- Build relationships with and assess the People Strategy team
- Build relationships with key business leaders and stakeholders
- Learn the Deepwatch story, offerings, systems, tools and processes
- Partner with the People Operations team to design and implement our first engagement tool and strategy
- First 60-Days
- Review L&D offerings including professional development benefits and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Assess career path strategy and design roadmap for continual review and alignment to business goals
- Revamp process documentation repositories
- First 90-Days
- Partner with People Operations to ensure policies and systems are compliant and audit-ready and make recommendations for enhancements
Colorado* Candidates:
For applicants in Colorado the salary range for this role is $165,000 to $185,000 + stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
