Senior eCommerce Fraud & Compliance Specialist
Job Description
Team: Finance
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior eCommerce Fraud & Compliance Specialist in the United States.
This role sits at the center of protecting a global digital performance ecosystem, ensuring the integrity, trust, and commercial health of high-volume eCommerce and affiliate activity. You will investigate complex fraud patterns, from attribution manipulation to traffic abuse, while safeguarding partner relationships and revenue quality. Operating as a senior subject matter expert, you will combine deep analytical capability with hands-on fraud prevention expertise. The role is highly investigative and data-driven, requiring strong technical fluency in tracking, attribution, and performance marketing models. You will also help shape detection strategies, improve governance frameworks, and strengthen automation in fraud prevention. Working cross-functionally, you will translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and commercial stakeholders. This is a high-impact position in a fast-moving, global, and collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
Accountabilities:
- Lead advanced fraud investigations across publishers, partners, and traffic sources, identifying sophisticated abuse patterns such as attribution manipulation, cookie stuffing, incentive fraud, and invalid traffic behaviors. You will act as an escalation point for complex or ambiguous cases requiring expert judgment.
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments of publisher models and performance structures, evaluating CPA, CPC, and hybrid setups to detect vulnerabilities and ensure ongoing partner quality and compliance.
- Perform advanced data analysis using SQL and BI tools to uncover trends, anomalies, and non-obvious fraud signals, translating findings into actionable insights and prevention strategies.
- Contribute to fraud detection strategy development by improving rule sets, refining monitoring frameworks, and supporting the evolution of scalable, automated detection approaches.
- Provide expertise in affiliate tracking and attribution systems, analyzing conversion flows, cross-device behaviors, and technical loopholes that may be exploited by bad actors.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to communicate risk insights, support onboarding decisions, and advise on fraud prevention best practices in a clear and commercially relevant way.
- 3+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, adtech, fraud prevention, compliance, or digital risk roles, with strong exposure to performance-based marketing environments.
- Deep understanding of affiliate fraud tactics and ecosystem mechanics, including CPA/CPC models, attribution logic, and conversion tracking systems.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including hands-on experience with SQL and BI/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to analyze large and complex datasets.
- Solid understanding of tracking technologies such as cookies, server-side tracking, redirects, and multi-touch attribution models.
- Experience working with fraud detection platforms, web intelligence tools, and ticketing/workflow systems in operational environments.
- Strong investigative mindset with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Competitive annual compensation in the range of $75,000–$85,000 USD
- Remote-first work model with flexibility and work-life balance support
- Paid time-off policies and additional special leave options
- Monthly remote working allowance to support home office setup and ongoing costs
- Access to structured learning and development programs to support continuous growth
- International, collaborative culture with flexible working arrangements across regions
- Strong focus on wellbeing, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives
- Opportunities to work with advanced tools, automation, and evolving fraud prevention technologies.
