We're looking to understand "How might we use data science techniques to inform and drive decisions, while also creating an experience that makes it transparent to the end user what the model is (or isn't) doing and how they can give it feedback."

Your day-to-day:
- Help establish, inform and socialize a UX program focused on ML/AI/NLP/Data Science UX best practices
- Make ML models more understandable to humans (Explainable AI aka XAI)
- Collect insights to help identify trends, problems, opportunities, and design solutions in the area of structured and unstructured data
- Conceptualize and design operationalized analytics within value-based workflows
- Data storytelling that leads from insight to action and communicates complex concepts and analytics
- Work closely with product teams and partners to extract meaning from complex data relationships to improve our ability to better serve our customers
- 3-5+ years design experience and UX research in big data products and complex business processes.
- Consistent track record of :
- Designing in the data and analytics space (includes data visualization, dashboards, etc)
- Knowledge of ML, UX, AI and XAI
- Understanding both business needs and user experience
- Working cross-functionally to define/prioritize problems AND recommend solutions
- Design storytelling
- Running design thinking workshops
- Advocate for design led process and build bridges between different functions (e.g. product teams, engineering, technical writers, leadership, partners, services, etc.)
- Proven experience in planning, executing, and synthesizing research (both qualitative and quantitative)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Design portfolio that demonstrates human-centered design process and business success. Portfolio may be online or a shareable PDF
- Experience with designing for finance, banking health care or insurance a plus
