Team: Project Management

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Event Operations Manager based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the operational strategy behind a global portfolio of high-impact events, conferences, roadshows, and community activations. You will be responsible for creating the systems, processes, and frameworks that enable events to scale efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality. Working within a fast-paced, remote-first environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business goals into seamless event experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise, operational discipline, and a passion for creating scalable solutions. You will manage vendors, budgets, technology platforms, and event execution while helping shape how a growing organization engages with its community and customers. This is a strategic role for someone who thrives on structure, innovation, and delivering outstanding experiences at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the operational execution of a global event portfolio, including conferences, developer-focused programs, roadshows, digital events, and community activations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage event timelines, project plans, milestones, dependencies, and resources across multiple concurrent programs.
  • Build and maintain scalable event operations frameworks, including planning templates, run-of-show processes, and repeatable playbooks that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Manage the complete event technology ecosystem, including registration platforms, attendee management tools, mobile applications, lead retrieval systems, and data workflows.
  • Coordinate vendors, agencies, venues, production partners, and internal stakeholders, overseeing contracts, logistics, schedules, shipping, and onsite readiness.
  • Own event budgets from planning through reconciliation, including purchase orders, invoices, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, product, and community teams to translate strategic goals into effective operational plans.
  • Support regional and third-party events by managing sponsorship deliverables, booth logistics, event presence, and lead management processes.
  • Track event performance metrics, pipeline impact, and return on investment while leading post-event reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify operational risks early, solve complex challenges, and create systems that allow event programs to expand into new markets efficiently.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in event management, event operations, experiential marketing, or related program management roles.
    • Proven experience managing complex events involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, timelines, and budgets.
    • Ability to travel approximately 35% of the time across North America, with potential international travel.
    • Strong project management capabilities with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience managing agencies, production partners, contracts, and event-related budgets.
    • Familiarity with event technology platforms, registration systems, lead retrieval tools, mobile applications, and marketing technology workflows.
    • Experience building operational frameworks, processes, or playbooks that enable programs to scale.
    • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve workflows and create repeatable operational processes.
    • Experience supporting developer, technical, enterprise, SaaS, cloud, or technology-focused events is highly preferred.
    • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment where priorities and requirements evolve.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across remote teams.
    • Benefits:

      • Remote-first work environment with flexibility to support work-life balance.
      • Competitive compensation package with equity opportunities.
      • Home office setup support to create a comfortable and productive workspace.
      • Quarterly wellness days and an end-of-year wellness break.
      • Paid parental leave of 16 weeks after six months of employment.
      • Monthly technology stipend of $100 USD net.
      • Flexible paid time off policy encouraging employees to recharge and take meaningful breaks.
      • Professional development support through training stipends for conferences, courses, and classes.
      • Company merchandise and employee perks.
      • Healthcare benefits, retirement plans, and holidays based on country-specific programs.
      • Opportunity to contribute to a growing organization with a collaborative and inclusive culture.
