About the Role
We are looking for a driven and strategic Senior Financial Analyst who is excited about contributing to making an important difference in the world. The Senior Financial Analyst will work alongside the FP&A team to provide valuable insights and recommendations to drive growth, accountability, and effective decision-making across Aurora.
What You'll Do

• Assist with designing and implementing the annual Budget, quarterly Forecast, Board reporting, and long-term strategic planning processes
• Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyze the root causes of variances to deliver valuable insight and recommendations
• Perform frequent ad hoc projects to support business decisions and see opportunities to optimize spend and work to reduce cost inefficiencies
• Simplify, streamline, and automate FP&A processes and make full use of forecasting and financial system capabilities that will allow us to continue to scale rapidly and globally
• Collaborate with business partners to understand, distill, and communicate ongoing and evolving business trends that will drive management decisions and action
• Work with the accounting team on month-end close to derive accurate and timely reporting that helps identify variances from expectations and trends

What We Value

• Finance experience, preferably including corporate FP&A
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets is required; Anaplan is a plus
• Prior experience owning the design and execution of annual Budgets, quarterly Forecasts, Board reporting, and BvA's, preferably at a SaaS company
• Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels throughout the company, and ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with a big-picture strategic understanding
• Knowledge of SaaS business models and experience in analyzing SaaS metrics and an in-depth understanding of financial statements is a plus
• Advanced modeling skills, experience conducting complex quantitative and qualitative financial analysis, and the ability to generate data-driven insights are a plus
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another quantitative field is a plus
