Senior Financial Analyst – Capital Management

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst – Capital Management’s primary responsibility is to provide expertise and analysis to F&G’s Capital team.  Areas of responsibility include financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support.    

Organization

The Senior Financial Analyst – Capital Management will report to the AVP, Capital Management Analytics.  He/she will collaborate with members of the Capital Management team and other departments across the organization including Investments, Actuarial, Risk and Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities

The range of tasks to be performed include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for F&G’s Capital team.
• Support the analytics function and process to assess the company’s capital position.
• Ensure functionality and accuracy of the capital forecasting models by understanding their inputs, outputs and key assumptions.
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities for capital efficiency.
• Performing designated tasks within the close management and forecast process.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and/or internal control enhancements
• Assisting with ad hoc requests, special projects and other duties related to capital management and analysis, as assigned.
• Assisting with the coordination of close and forecasting activities.

Experience and Education Requirements

The experiences and/or education requirements required (or preferred) for this position include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial, Business or related field 
• 4 – 6+ years of professional finance experience in life insurance companies
• ASA, CFA or CPA preferred
