Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting at GAHL, the Senior Financial Analyst will support financial reporting and corporate accounting activities across the broader GAHL group. This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong, detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, improving processes, and contributing to a growing global organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, support audit and compliance requirements, assist with technical accounting matters, and help strengthen processes, controls, and reporting across the finance function.
Travel within Canada or the United States may be required from time to time for onboarding, training, or business support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and working papers
- Assist with other close deliverables
- Maintain the corporate general ledger
- Conduct balance sheet account analysis
- Maintain chart of accounts mapping and reporting structures to support data visualization and reporting
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Support consolidation reporting requirements
- Financial statement note disclosures
- Supporting schedules
- Internal and external reporting
- Prepare audit schedules
- Coordinate audit requests
- Follow up on audit queries
- Assist with current and deferred tax provisioning
- Support transfer pricing documentation and indirect tax considerations (VAT)
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
- OneStream-related reporting
- Process development
- Help support a consistent reporting environment across a multi-entity organization
Qualifications
- University degree in accounting or business-related field
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- 2+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, corporate accounting, or audit. Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial statement preparation
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, ability to learn new software
- Experience with extracting and manipulating large data sets from various financial systems
- Strong technical internal controls and process improvement skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in a multi-entity, high-growth, or complex reporting environment is an asset
- Experience with financial systems implementation or reporting tools such as OneStream is an asse
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
