About the Opportunity

On behalf of a valued client, LRO Staffing is engaged in an active search for a Senior Firmware Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a hybrid work arrangement. The selected candidate will report to the Engineering Manager.

Does the development of real-time firmware for mission critical applications excite you? Do you enjoy leading technically and/or mentoring junior engineers? This could be a compelling match.

Our client is a leader in the design and manufacturing of power equipment, everything, cradle to grave, being executed on Canadian soil.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Day to day coding of real-time firmware and control software for power electronics applications in C/C++
Collaboration with hardware engineers and mentorship of junior engineers
Application of a wide variety of communication protocols to new product designs
About You

The successful candidate will have the following:
5+ years’ experience developing firmware, ideally for power electronics
Professional Engineer standing, or ability to obtain (P.Eng)
Understanding of digital signal processing and microcontrollers
Experience leading junior teams or mentoring team members
