You will work across the full stack to design, develop, and maintain customer-facing features that power secure, high-impact workflows such as identity verification and digital transactions. The position involves close collaboration with product, engineering, and user experience teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality software. You will contribute to architectural decisions, participate in production support, and help improve engineering practices across the team. This is a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment where autonomy, ownership, and product impact are central to day-to-day work. The role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across backend, frontend, and infrastructure in fast-moving product teams.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features across full-stack applications supporting identity-assured transaction workflows.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop high-quality, performant, and reliable code using modern web technologies across backend and frontend systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and ensure system stability across customer-facing applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and engineering best practices to improve overall team performance.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, system design discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems following established training and escalation processes.
  • Work across APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud infrastructure to support end-to-end product functionality.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience building complex, customer-facing web applications.
    • Strong proficiency with Ruby on Rails and React in production environments.
    • Experience working across full-stack systems including APIs, databases, and cloud-based architectures.
    • Familiarity with GraphQL, AWS, and modern distributed systems is a strong plus.
    • Experience in regulated environments such as identity verification, e-signature, or fintech is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, code quality, and system design.
    • Ability to take ownership of features from design through production deployment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward action and practical solutions.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
    • Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting across different parts of the stack.
    • Benefits:

      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
      • Life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage
      • 401(k) plan with 4% employer match starting on hire date
      • Unlimited sick leave and vacation policy
      • 14 paid company holidays annually
      • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
      • Sabbatical program after 5 years of service
      • Health reimbursement support for fertility and gender affirmation care
      • Monthly stipends for remote work, wellness, and professional development
      • Lunch credit program and additional employee perks
      • Inclusive, mission-driven culture focused on trust, ownership, and innovation
