Senior GenAI/Agentic AI Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior GenAI/Agentic AI Engineer based in India.

This is a high-impact, fully remote role focused on building next-generation Generative AI and agent-based systems for real-world enterprise use cases.
You will design and develop intelligent AI agents powered by LLMs to solve complex business problems across domains.
The role involves hands-on engineering work spanning LLMs, prompt engineering, and end-to-end ML system design.
You will collaborate on architecting scalable AI solutions, including NLQ-to-SQL systems and autonomous agent workflows.
It is a deeply technical position requiring strong Python expertise and experience with modern AI frameworks.
You will work in a fast-evolving environment where experimentation, innovation, and applied research come together.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building production-grade AI systems with measurable impact.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced Generative AI and agent-based solutions that solve complex business problems.

• Build and optimize AI agents using LLMs for tasks such as reasoning, automation, and workflow orchestration
• Design and implement end-to-end ML pipelines, including training, evaluation, and deployment
• Develop prompt engineering strategies for self-learning and reflex-based agent systems
• Create scalable APIs, utilities, and integrations using Python for AI services
• Work with frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph to build multi-step agent workflows
• Develop solutions such as NLQ-to-SQL translators and other enterprise AI use cases
• Collaborate on system architecture and ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of AI models

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong experience in Generative AI, Machine Learning, and software engineering, with the ability to design robust AI-driven systems.

• 4–5+ years of experience in Generative AI and at least 2+ years in traditional Machine Learning
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade AI systems
• Deep understanding of LLMs, transformers, NLP, embeddings, and vector databases
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and NLP libraries
• Experience working with OpenAI, Llama/Llama2, or Azure OpenAI models
• Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, agentic AI design, and model integration
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and building AI-driven applications
• Strong analytical thinking and solution design capability
• Excellent communication skills, including client-facing interaction
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Experience in finance, healthcare, or insurance domains is a plus
