Job Description
Team: Human Resources
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior HR Generalist based in Sweden.
This is a high-impact, hands-on HR role at the center of a rapidly scaling tech organization operating in the AI infrastructure space. You will own key people operations processes spanning the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, while ensuring compliance and operational excellence across multiple jurisdictions. The role combines execution and strategy, requiring someone who can confidently manage HR operations while also helping shape scalable people programs. You will work closely with leadership, Legal, Finance, and People teams to ensure smooth HR operations and strong employee experience. A significant part of your work will focus on employee relations, compliance, and HR systems integrity in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves with ownership, and brings structure to complex people challenges.
Accountabilities:
- Own end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and leave management within a PEO environment.
- Maintain and continuously improve compliance processes, including state registrations, policy updates, mandatory training, and audit readiness.
- Manage benefits administration and act as the main point of contact for brokers and external HR/PEO providers.
- Support total rewards processes, including offer letter creation, compensation benchmarking, and collaboration with Finance and Legal.
- Handle employee relations cases such as performance issues, accommodations, conflict resolution, and separations with discretion and sound judgment.
- Partner with legal counsel on sensitive matters, ensuring proper documentation and risk mitigation.
- Support performance cycles, manager coaching, and people programs such as engagement surveys and onboarding experience.
- Own HR data accuracy, reporting, and HRIS integrity across key metrics like headcount and attrition.
- 5–8 years of experience in HR Generalist or HR Operations roles, ideally within fast-growing tech or startup environments.
- Experience working within a PEO or multi-state employment structure (e.g., Justworks, Rippling, or equivalent systems).
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases with professionalism and emotional intelligence.
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to documentation and detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, and leadership teams.
- High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Nice to have: experience with HR automation tools (Zapier, scripting), HRIS optimization, AI tools for HR workflows, and certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
- Competitive salary aligned with experience and market standards.
- Equity participation in a high-growth, venture-backed organization.
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans.
- Unlimited paid time off and flexible working arrangements.
- Life and disability insurance coverage.
- 401(k) with company match (where applicable).
- Home office stipend and monthly internet reimbursement.
- Flexible parental leave policies.
- Regular company offsites and team-building events.
- Strong learning culture with access to modern tools and growth opportunities.
