Job Description

Team: Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Impact Analyst based in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and field execution, focused on designing and scaling interventions that improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers across global agricultural supply chains. You will work on complex sustainability challenges affecting coffee and cocoa production, translating research and analytics into practical, measurable solutions. The position combines quantitative rigor with real-world implementation, requiring frequent engagement with farming communities across Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia. You will evaluate and shape initiatives spanning sustainable agriculture, climate impact, and financial inclusion. Operating in a mission-driven, highly international environment, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to drive meaningful, on-the-ground change. This is a hands-on role for someone motivated by impact, field exposure, and solving high-complexity problems at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Research, analyze, and quantify the potential impact of interventions addressing sustainability and livelihood challenges in smallholder farming systems.
  • Design, evaluate, and iterate solutions across areas such as precision agriculture, carbon sequestration, microfinance, and sustainable income generation.
  • Lead the development, piloting, execution, and scaling of programs, ensuring strong monitoring, evaluation, and learning loops.
  • Conduct fieldwork in farming regions across Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, or Asia to validate assumptions and stay closely connected to real-world conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to build evidence-based strategies and ensure successful implementation of initiatives.

  • Requirements:

    • 2–6 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in high-performance environments such as strategy consulting, investment/finance, venture-backed startups, or similar fast-paced settings.
    • University degree in a quantitative discipline (science or engineering preferred), with additional relevant experience in analytics, research, or impact-driven work.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience working with large datasets and applying statistical reasoning.
    • Proficiency in tools such as Python and/or R, with familiarity in applying data analysis, automation, and AI-assisted workflows.
    • Ability to structure complex problems and communicate insights clearly in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
    • Adaptability, resilience, and strong motivation to work in field-based, mission-driven environments.
    • Genuine interest in sustainability, global agriculture, and evidence-based social impact.

    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation aligned with the sustainability and impact sector.
      • Flexible, remote-first work structure with significant field-based assignments.
      • Opportunity to work directly with farming communities across multiple continents.
      • Exposure to cutting-edge approaches combining data science, machine learning, and field research.
      • International, mission-driven environment with diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
      • Strong learning culture with high autonomy and responsibility.
      • Meaningful work with direct measurable impact on farmer livelihoods and sustainability outcomes.
