Senior Integrations Engineer

This role sits at the core of a modern insurance technology organization, focused on designing and scaling seamless system-to-system integrations that power critical business operations. You will work within an agile engineering environment, collaborating closely with product, engineering, operations, finance, and other internal teams to build reliable and scalable integration solutions. In this position, you will design and maintain modular integrations across a complex technical ecosystem, leveraging iPaaS technologies and API-based architectures. You will also contribute to improving observability, automation, and operational excellence across integration workflows. This is a highly technical and cross-functional role where your work directly impacts system efficiency, data flow reliability, and customer experience. You will help modernize legacy integrations while enabling scalable, reusable frameworks that support long-term growth.

• Design, build, document, and maintain scalable modular integrations using iPaaS platforms such as Workato
• Develop and support SDKs to extend integration capabilities across proprietary and SaaS systems
• Partner with engineering teams to transition custom-built integrations into scalable iPaaS solutions
• Translate business and technical requirements into system designs, estimates, and implementation plans
• Define and implement testing, monitoring, and observability strategies for integrations
• Maintain and evolve a robust integration architecture that is reusable, scalable, and well-documented
• Monitor integration performance, proactively identify issues, and resolve complex production bugs
• Improve automation, including intelligent and agentic solutions for triage and error handling
• Build modular, reusable components to reduce duplication and improve system efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design end-to-end integration solutions
• Validate code, review pull requests, and uphold DevOps and engineering best practices
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of integration standards

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software integration or iPaaS-based engineering roles, with Workato experience preferred
• 3+ years of experience working with APIs using Ruby and TypeScript or JavaScript
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including serverless services, databases, and messaging systems (SNS/SQS)
• Solid understanding of REST, SOAP, and GraphQL API architectures
• Experience working with data formats such as EDI, XML, CSV, and flat files
• Hands-on experience designing observability, monitoring, and testing frameworks
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum or similar) and iterative delivery models
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite/Intacct, Workday, or ServiceNow
• Ability to build and manage API endpoints within iPaaS environments
• Strong stakeholder management skills across product, finance, and operations teams
• Experience in product-led, fast-paced engineering environments
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with attention to scalability and security
• Ability to evaluate architectural tradeoffs and design maintainable integration solutions
