Our Ways of Working

We’re a remote-first company with team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees so people can get the work done in the way that suits them best. With rare exception, our employees generally work 9-5 in their home time zone.

We also know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build community and collaboration, we gather in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually.

What the Role Is

As a Senior/Lead Product Manager for Babylist, you will help drive consumer-facing product strategy and execution to help the growing number of new parents who depend on Babylist navigate the experience of preparing for their baby. You will enhance our existing registry, content, health and eCommerce experience, and develop brand new opportunities for new parents. The ideal product manager is deeply rooted in understanding the customer and placing emphasis on the user experience, improving lives through the products you build. At Babylist, you will have the opportunity to impact one of the most important and transformative moments in a person’s life. We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial consumer product manager to work on some exciting new emerging products here at Babylist. You will lead a cross functional team of Engineers, Designers, Marketing, and other potential department members.

Who You Are

  • You're an experienced Product Manager with an impressive record of working on hard problems for consumer focused products, ideally with 6 or more years of experience
  • You have demonstrated a deep empathy for users and express it in the details of design, interaction and execution of your products
  • You are data-driven utilizing insights to make informed decisions
  • You find opportunity in ambiguity; able to independently identify, advocate for, and execute on new opportunities in the absence of a clear mandate
  • You are able to ruthlessly prioritize in order to get the right things done with the adaptability to pivot into different focus areas
  • You have led consumer products in marketplaces, services, or eCommerce where you have addressed the needs of multiple user groups and managed complex user journeys

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Drive the full product management cycle for your roadmap: Discovery, Validation, Development, Launch and Measure/Iterate
  • Partner with UX, Engineering, Leadership, and Marketing on new zero to one initiatives as well as optimizing and scaling current projects
  • Be a strong advocate for a data-driven approach to improving customer experience, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand our customer’s needs

Why You Will Love Working At Babylist

  • We are a remote first company and we invest in the infrastructure you’ll need to be supported and successful: tools, opportunities to connect with colleagues, and a stipend to help you set up your office
  • We build products that have a positive impact on millions of people’s lives
  • We work at a sustainable pace which means work/life balance is a real thing here
  • We believe technology and data can solve hard problems
  • We believe in exceptional management
  • We are an antiracist organization and doing the work to support differences of all kinds
  • We offer competitive pay and meaningful opportunities for career advancement
  • We have great benefits like company paid medical, dental, and vision, a generous paid parental leave policy, and 401k with company match
  • We care about employee wellbeing with perks for physical, mental and emotional health, parenting, childcare, and financial planning

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area.

Exact starting pay will be determined based on skills and experience as well as location. We hold two compensation reviews annually to review pay for performance and market and run an equity analysis to ensure our pay practices are fair and unbiased.

A reasonable estimate for the current range Is : $157,000- 220,000

This range may be modified in the future.

In addition to the base compensation listed above, we offer a number of other benefits as part of your total compensation at Babylist, such as:
