ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Senior Manager, Brand Management is responsible for development of marketing strategy in Canada. As the Senior Manager, Brand Management, you will take full ownership of the implementation of the brand strategic imperative to deliver the company mission to improve the lives of the millions of adult smokers in Canada. 

Additionally, the Senior Manager, Brand Management will set the country's strategic direction and goals and develop the country's marketing activation plan based on global guidance, with primarily focus on acquisition through trial, education, and executional excellence, all leading to brand affinity and consumer loyalty across all pillars: Brand Development, Brand Programs and Direct to Consumer. 

BRAND: 

  • Strong contributor & partner within the Global Marketing Teams to support JUUL brand development and the overall business strategy 
  • Organizational capabilities to establish a motivated, productive, innovative, and highly professional team environment 
  • Strong partnership and cooperation with the Global Marketing Team to effectively implement strategic global brand priorities, programs as well as represent the interest of the local organization 
  • Close cooperation with Global (HQ) teams to understand adult consumer and their insights to map adult consumers journey and identify main growth opportunities (trial, conversion, retention, and referral programs) 
  • Optimization of marketing investment to drive most efficient adult consumer experience across all touchpoints; including 1:1 communication, retail, digital, brand PR, and e-commerce 
  • Right attitude to nurture innovative solutions: new touchpoints, programs, retail concept and store execution ideas 
  • Key point of contact for all Brand Program vendors 
  • Vendors include: Ethos US, Alesco Data, List Services, Limelight, Canada Post 
  • Responsible for all invoicing and budget tied to brand marketing spendsMonitor company and markets results on a regular basis and implement corrective actions when necessary  
  • Foster cross functional / cross country collaboration to promote innovative marketing activation in a highly-regulated environment 

TRADE: 

  • Key point of contact for all B2B trade advertising vendors, third-party vendors and key industry associations 
  • Vendors include: IMS, Angle Media, Convenience and Carwash Canada, Convenience Store News Canada, C-Store Canada 
  • Manage trade show calendar, registrations and execution with sales and marketing teams, control and track the budget allocated to B2B Events 
  • Conduct analysis on marketing programs ensuring KPIs are met or exceeded 
  • Key point of contact for trade marketing (B2B) tools (collateral, merchandising, fixtures, etc.) allocation and inventory control with IMS and on the IMS Online Catalog platform 
  • Responsible for all invoicing and budget tied to trade shows & trade advertising spends 
  • Work with our Global Creative team on the development and delivery of marketing assets for retail, trade shows and printed/digital trade ads 
  • Work closely with internal Communications team for the development of a trade content strategy for Branded Content / articles in trade magazines 
  • Assists in the development of regional B2B and tradeshows plans with regional marketing teams; acts as the main point of contact for all branding decisions 

E-COMMERCE: 

  • Strong contributor and partner within the Global DTC Team  
  • Support on the adaptation of the global e-commerce strategy in order to improve sales website performance on JUUL.ca. 
  • Support with content calendar and website uploads and landing pages’ development. 
  • Support with the adaptation (for Canada) and approval of day-to-day execution of CRM campaigns, all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and a/b testing and reporting. 
  • Works with the Direct to Consumer team to develop testing plans across owned channels to optimize programs across customer lifecycle and customer segments 
  • Supports development and deployment of JUUL.ca website content  
  • Management of content approval from cross-functional stakeholders to ensure JUUL.ca content is legally compliant 
  • Collaborates with tech team and cross-functional partners to develop consumer digital experiences 

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 8+ year’s experience in Consumer Marketing with proven successful track record 
  • Fluent in English; French (preferred) 
  • Fluency in all aspects of ‘fast moving’ consumer goods industry, particularly: trade marketing, brand, communications, adult consumer insights, field marketing, grass route programs, consumer activations, agency management 
  • High analytical skills to drive decision making with right argumentation 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels 
  • Self-starter and eager to learn quickly 
  • Strong understanding of retail, with significant Trade Marketing experience or managing trade shows 
  • Interpersonal skills (excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills) 
  • Test and learn mindset 
  • Problem solving, project management and multitasking skills 
  • Comfortable with both strategy and execution 
  • Comfortable with rapidly changing environment with diverse needs and project
