Job Description
The Corporate Strategy team at WHOOP has played an active role in some of the company’s boldest and most important decisions. The team partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to shape the company’s annual and long-term strategic direction including platform evolution market expansion and new business opportunities. We oversee strategic planning helping leadership decide where we win and where to invest. We identify and evaluate new growth vectors across products services geographies and business models aligned with WHOOP’s mission and capabilities while staying on top of competitive dynamics industry trends and emerging technologies across health and adjacent spaces.
We are seeking a Senior Manager to join the team. You’ll run core strategy cadences and key workstreams while operating at the intersection of product hardware finance growth and marketing teams to influence executive decisions. You will flex between structured problem-solving and pragmatic execution driving high-leverage analyses (e.g. growth opportunities business model market sizing competitive intelligence) producing decision materials for the executive team and Board and helping teams move from ambiguity to action. The right candidate is a high-agency generalist with strong judgment sharp analytical and financial rigor and exceptional communication skills who thrives in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and the work is broad high stakes and deeply collaborative.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the executive team to develop and maintain WHOOP’s long-term strategic narrative translating strategic priorities into a clear and compelling point of view on where the company is headed and why.
- Coordinate the annual strategic planning process to clarify where we win and where we invest preparing decision materials attending leadership forums and functional offsites and facilitating discussions to inform priorities and capital allocation in partnership with Corporate FP&A.
- Build and maintain pre-planning intelligence by producing an annual enterprise-wide fact base that frames the context for strategic planning synthesizing key trends competitive dynamics member insights and internal research into clear implications.
- Lead deep-dive evaluations of high-conviction strategic bets rigorously assessing whether WHOOP should enter new categories launch new products or services expand internationally or pursue new business models synthesizing findings for executive decision making.
- Organize WHOOP’s ongoing competitive intelligence monitoring program highlighting signals risks opportunities and recommended follow-ups as market conditions evolve.
- Lead discrete workstreams on key business model and pricing decisions bringing member context competitive dynamics and economics into clear tradeoffs and recommendations.
- Work across Finance teams to translate strategic priorities into resourcing decisions and capital allocation frameworks ensuring investment decisions are grounded in a clear strategic point of view.
- Develop frameworks and templates that standardize how we evaluate opportunities (market sizing competitive benchmarking and strategic initiative scorecards) to improve consistency and speed of decision-making.
- Create and deliver executive presentations and Board materials that synthesize complex strategic issues into clear narratives with actionable recommendations.
- Drive a rotating portfolio of high-impact strategy projects tied to executive decisions responding to time-sensitive strategic questions and emerging developments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 years of experience in investing (PE/VC/Growth Equity) top-tier strategy consulting investment banking or corporate strategy at a high-growth technology company.
- Strong analytical ability and business model acumen including financial modeling unit economics market sizing competitive analysis member/customer insight synthesis and scenario thinking to build a rigorous fact base.
- Exceptional sense-making ability: synthesize disparate inputs (data member insight stakeholder context competitive signals) into simple clear answers without oversimplifying.
- Comfort driving impact through influence and clarity in environments where you may or may not always directly own execution and with frequent context switching.
- Exceptional executive communication skills including writing crisp decision memos and building leadership-ready presentations that distill complexity into what matters and drives clear outcomes.
- High initiative and high agency including the ability to see what needs doing and move quickly with minimal guidance while maintaining high standards and rigorous attention to detail.
- Proven cross-functional leadership through influence including driving alignment accountability and follow-through in ambiguous fast-moving situations.
- Intellectual curiosity and learning velocity including asking great questions digging for root causes and continuously updating your point of view as new information emerges.

At WHOOP we view total compensation as the combination of base salary equity and benefits with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company’s long-term growth and success.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $180000 - $220000. Salary ranges are determined by role level and location. Within each range individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills experience performance and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications expertise and alignment with the role’s requirements.
